The Colours of Joy

Fresh, artistic, sophisticated, and slightly unexpected. It combines vibrant nature-inspired greens with elegant lilacs and rich plum tones, creating a balance between energy and calm.

Colour Inspiration

Joy is often thought of as something grand, an achievement, a milestone, a moment worth celebrating. Yet some of life's most meaningful joy is found in the quiet moments that invite us to pause and truly notice what is around us.

This palette was inspired by a simple cluster of lilacs in bloom. I took the picture while walking in my neighbourhood, a fleeting moment in the neighbourhood park that might easily be overlooked, yet one that holds remarkable beauty when we slow down enough to see it.

The deep plum reminds us of life's richness and depth. The soft lilac brings a sense of calm and gentleness. The fresh greens speak of growth, renewal, and possibility. Together, they create a palette that feels both grounded and uplifting, a reflection of joy that is not loud, but deeply felt.

Colour has a remarkable ability to shape our experiences. It influences how we feel in our homes, how we present ourselves through style, and even how we move through our days. Surrounding ourselves with colours that inspire us can be a simple yet meaningful way to cultivate joy.

Imagine a soft lavender bedroom that welcomes rest. An olive-green chair is tucked beside a sunny window. A plum accessory that adds confidence to an outfit. These are not just design choices; they are invitations to create moments that feel beautiful, comforting, and alive.

Joy does not always arrive through dramatic change. Often, it is found in the small details, a flower blooming in spring, the light filtering through a room, the colours that make us smile without knowing exactly why.

This palette is a reminder to look a little closer, linger a little longer, and create a life filled with experiences that bring delight. Because sometimes joy begins with simply noticing the beauty that was there all along
